A popular character can appear on many cards. A precise search helps distinguish a playable reference, an alternative illustration and a card from another series.
Record the visible details
Write down the name, card number, language and finish, then compare the illustration. A character name alone rarely identifies a card sufficiently for an order or a wanted list.
Compare the listing with the official database
Use Bandai's card list to compare the text and reference. On a sales listing, also check condition and available photographs. A representative image may not show every detail of a used copy.
Keep a reusable checklist
Give each wanted version its own inventory entry. Add your desired quantity and priority. You can then browse a store or trading binder without revisiting the same ambiguities every time.
